ALL SPACE-JAMMED OUT

As all of you may or may not know today marked the release of arguably this years hottest JB release. That's right the famous Space Jam Jordan made infamous of course by His Airness and the movie Space Jam. Let me just say that hype or no hype this is a very nice shoe top to icy sole, and apparently I'm not the only person who thought so. My local spot opened at 7:AM today. I, thinking I'd get a jump on things, decided to get there a little early. I arrived @ 6:30 and to my surprise there was a line of about 35 people standing outside. I thought about leaving and coming back later seeing as how I was only buying for the kids and had gotten mine reserved a week before. But I thought wow this is the first and probably the last time I will ever stand on line for a pair of kicks. So I did. All in all the two hour wait was pleasant security and the early morning mall walkers with the occasional hello. Sharing stories about releases past with fellow sneaker-fiends, it was quite an experience. More than anything though this was a chance to see love and pure devotion, weather it was a gift for a loved one or for themselves everyone of us around 55 total all stood patiently and waited for our little peice of history. Neadless to say NOT EVERYONE GOT A PAIR BUT the love runs deep, deeper than anyone who isn't a sneakerhead will ever know.

The date 12/25/2009 to be exact, you are even allowed to customize your shoe now and save your design for later. The cost will be $165 a little steep but for a one of a kind shoe not a very bad deal.

Hot off the presses the Apple app store has just approved the first real video recorder for the Iphone. Ivideo Camera works with both first gen and 3G models it is said to record at a frame rate of 3 frames per second and only records about a minute of video. The app which will set you back a full .99 is not a bad start. Plus the folks over at Laan Labs have already promised an update is in the works and will be available soon. So hit up the App store download it and let the rest of us know what you think.

AIR MAX LEBRON VII CHRISTMAS EDITION

More shots of the Air Max LeBron VII Xmas quickstrike have surfaced. The shoe which has a black to red gradient that extends onto the visible air sole and is finished with a black outsole. The insole of the kicks features a black and white image of what looks like to be a young ‘Bron-Bron’ playing with a ball and basketball hoop he received for Christmas. The shoes are sold out already at Marqueesole, these are sure to become a holy grail. info via kicksonfire.com

KOBE AND LEBRON AIR FORCE 1'S (youth)

The Kobe pair features the Kobe sheath on the side and the number 24 on the tongue.

The Lebron pair features the LBJ 23 logo on the side and the King James lion head on the tongue.

Keeping with the theme of the whole Kobe and Lebron thing I found two very sharp Air Force 1's. Done up in each players team colors with a few personal touches these shoes are on point and just in time for the new Kobe & Lebron Nike campaign. As of now I think these are only out in kid's sizes but should be widely available.

TEAM KOBE OR TEAM LEBRON

With the release of the second Twilight movie and the craze about which side you choose Team Edward or Team Jacob. I started thinking about another movie, Underworld, and two of the games biggest stars Kobe and Lebron and how it's all relative. We start off with the epic battle vampire v.s. werewolf. The vampire which mainly relies on deception and cunning to seduce it's victims is played by Kobe. Many times the vampire uses the element of surprise to get close enough to its prey to kill. When facing tougher adversaries, like the werewolf, it uses a full arsenal of deadly weapons. In the case of Kobe this would be the lighting fast first step, the ankle breaking crossover, almost always followed by the quick release jumper that leaves many spellbound and defeated not to mention completely drained. The werewolf , represented by King James, in human form can be quite charming, almost seductive, and not too physically imposing but once transformed all that is out the window. Equipped with a deadly combination of speed and strength Lebron our King of the Lycans only needs to use one maybe two moves to destroy any opponent, the crossover dribble is usually his weapon of choice. But in true werewolf fashion he prefers to get his hands a little dirty and will go through anyone in his path. When he explodes towards the rim he rips defenders apart with devastating force. There isn't much in this world that can save you from his fury. The smart ones turn tail and run those that choose to stay end up as scattered victims of his merciless slaughter. So who's game do you pattern yours after, which player do you think is better, and what side will you choose? The battle continues for another season be sure to tune in and check these two out.

AIR JORDAN 16.5 COOL GREY

WOW!!! The Air Jordan 16.5 gets done up in the same grey/white colorway that made the Air Jordan XI such a must have almost 12 years ago. This shoe is almost as sweet as that pair of XI's seeing how the two share a few similarities. The patent leather toe box and the icy sole. At a retail price of $125 if I find a 14 these will definitely get copped!!!

I am the type of person many in the sneaker game would refer to as a Nikehead, meaning I show a lot of brand loyalty to Nike and it's products. This along with two other classic Reebok Pumps are set to release in February of 2010. Check out the pictures let me know what you think about the" Respect Pack" Pump Fury from Reebok.

iFROGZ LUXE/MYFROGZ APP (FREE)

iFrogz Luxe is a two-piece case that locks together horizontally with a dot-shaped rear clasp. What’s special about Luxe is the material, which is hard matte-finished plastic inside, and soft touch rubber-coated on the outside. Each case comes with a clear film screen protector. Apart from that screen protector, which bumps the aggregate protection rating up to above average, the iPhone 3G body protection afforded by the actual plastic Luxe case design is average. There are generous holes on the top, side, and bottom, and a fair-sized hole for the camera on the back. Some companies had figured out how to cover the iPhone 3G’s volume, Home, and Sleep/Wake buttons with rubber or flexible hard plastic, but Luxe doesn’t do that; on the flip side, the case is more accessory-compatible than most, and the slide-off bottom piece renders it usable with Apple’s official iPhone 3G Dock. IF THE LUXE SEEMS LIKE YOUR IDEAL CASE YOU CAN GO ONLINE TO IFROGZ.COM, TO YOUR NEAREST TARGET OR AT&T STORE. HOWEVER THERE IS ONE MORE OPTION. THE NEW MY FROGZ APP IN THE IPHONE APP STORE LETS YOU CUSTOMIZE AND HAVE YOUR CASE SHIPPED TO YOU. I HAVE TRIED THE APP AND THERE ARE LOTS OF COOL OPTIONS THOUGH NO TEXT OR DESIGNS ARE OFFERED AT THIS TIME. LOOKS LIKE A NICE CASE BE SURE TO CHECK THEM OUT. review by ilounge.com

PRODUCT (RED) JOINS FORCES WITH NIKE

Yesterday, on the day before World AIDS Day, Bono and Nike CEO Mark Parker joined some of the world’s best soccer players to announce a partnership between Nike and (RED). The partnership invites people everywhere to “Lace Up. Save Lives” by purchasing a pair of NIKE (RED) laces at Niketown and online at Nike Store starting today. For each pair of $4 laces sold, Nike will contribute 100% of its profits to the Global Fund and to Nike’s youth-oriented football-based AIDS education programs in Africa. Join the fight and help the cause. This issue hits closer to home than some of us would like to admit. It is a global problem that has grown increasingly out of control in this part of the world but threatens us all. Show your support for a worthy cause. *info via nicekicks.com
