Troy "Escalade" Jackson

LA newspapers have reported that Troy Jackson aka "Escalade" was found dead in his hotel room this past weekend. It's unclear the cause of death but reports state that Jackson passed away in sleep. As the younger brother of Mark Jackson it would have been easy to get lost in the shadow of his famous sibling. But for those of us who saw him in action we know Escalade was a star far too big for that. He will be missed.

Perils of an aging sneakerhead

We all know two things in life are promised, death and taxes, but what catches off guard are the things that happen between. Things like getting older. Turn the clock back three short years ago and I was a man on a mission. A mission to build the largest sneaker collection anyone has laid eyes one and I was bringing my son along for the ride. I said son not sons because at the time there was only one and if daddy got em Jr did too. Fast forward to present imps and now I'm the proud father of 3 boys and still very much a sneakerfiend. Only difference is I have to buy for 4 which means in most cases he kids get the kicks and I don't a bitter pill to swallow but a part of growing up.

Release date info for the AJ 3 Doernbecher has been updated. The shoes drop on Dec. 11 @ a price of $160

Jordan II candy pack

In true Jordan Brand fashion the powers that be have messed things up again. The AJ2 candy pack which was slated to release on 10/30/10 at a price of $130 per pair has been changed. The new date November 6th the new price $135. Why beats me, but as always they know something we don't know. Maybe it's for the best extra time to get your money together.

Just a thought, wouldn't it be cool to see Kobe Bryant or Tyreke Evans sport these on court just once?

UA release reminder

The Under Armour Micro G "Fly" is set to release October 23,2010. This bred colorway is a Finishline exclusive and will retail for $89.99. As a Jordan fan I'm partial to the black/red colorway and the translucent sole is always a plus. So if your looking for a lightweight and reasonably priced shoe to hoop in this may be the shoe for you.
