I'm sure by now every sports fan in the world has formed an opinion about LeBron James and his decision to leave Cleveland. Some love, some hate many of the haters would say what happened to loyalty. While the people on the other side of the coin, myself included, say what about winning. Look from day one this young superstar put not only his state but the entire NBA on his shoulders and carried them to new heights. He brought attention back to the sport when people were beginning to turn away from the sport. Remember basketball was quickly moving down the popularity list in terms of sports in America. This kid not only brought back fans of the game but gave sneakerheads another great line of kicks to lust after. He did this on a team which for whatever reason could never quite get over the hump. Now he could have been loyal and stayed and continued to lose but why. Only to end up like another one of my favorite players Charles Barkley. A great player, hall of fame bound, but no championship. Isn't that the reason players play to win and to someday Win it all? It seems to me like everyone is cool with making money from LeBron James. But when he decides to capitalize on his best chance at an NBA championship fans boo him, cavs owner slings mud, and even basketball legends talked down on him. Bottom line LeBron James doesn't owe any of us anything! The season is upon us and soon we'll all see if the decision was worth it.
